The missions of the Casablanca-Settat Regional Investment Center
The region of Casablanca-Settat was born following the implementation of the provisions of the Constitution relating to advanced regionalization in 2015.
This process of advanced regionalization in Morocco, intended as a global and structural reform, is aimed at all the territorial actors called to innovate, by setting up the new mechanisms of governance of territorial development in order to bring the dynamics of committed change to maturity.
The Region must implement a Regional Development Program (RDP), describing its new territorial development strategy.
Thus, the RDP is a reference framework for the elaboration of all urban planning documents and local strategies.
Developed in the light of a diagnosis using a participatory approach involving different actors in the region, this development plan is expected to enable the mobilization of the potentialities of the economic capital that is considered as the richest territorial entity in the Kingdom.
The RDP provides for 160 development projects by 2021, for a total amount of 115 billion dirhams brought by public and private actors. This envelope, which remains estimated, will be invested in five main strategic axes divided into projects related to "Environment", "Integrated rural environment", "Socio-cultural attractiveness and quality of life", "Transport" and "Enterprise, innovation and employment ".
